I was so happy to be asked to represent Music Together at the Earth Celebration festival on Sado Island this summer. The wonderful 3 day festival is held every year by the internationally famous Japanese drumming group KODO.

Time is going by so quickly!! Today was week 4 in the summer course! It was a lovely class today with 9 kids and their mothers. I really enjoyed seeing the kids tap rhythms on their legs and dance energetically around the room.
It's always fun using the silk scarves in class and today we used them to dance to a song in asymmetric meter - a song with 5 beats per bar. We also enjoyed playing with the rhythm sticks and beating different rhythms on the ground.
We will have week 5 next week on 8/9 and then have a short break until 8/30.
Our Spring term is coming to an end but we will be running a short summer course on Fridays from July. The shorter summer course will have 8 lessons (the tuition fee is reduced). We had the first ever ALBA Music Together official lesson on Saturday! It was a great start to the Spring Course with 6 kids in the class. It was wonderful seeing the kids enjoy making music with their family and making new friends in the class. Everybody did a great job joining in with the songs and dancing. I'm really excited about this course. There are still spaces in the class so if you wish to join us for a demo lesson please get in touch. If you decide to enrol with ALBA Music Together during the course of the Spring term, I can discount the tuition fee for the lessons you missed. The next lesson will be this Saturday 4/20 at 10:05 in Kunitachi College of Music A.I. Studio.
